Prakash Jha has added a sizzling and scorching item number in his upcoming socio-political thriller film ‘Satyagraha’. Model-actor Natasa Stankovic would be seen doing the thumri-electronic fusion number, titled as ‘Aiyo ji hamri atariya mein’ for the movie.
The filmmaker believes that such songs contribute to certain sensibilities and helps the storyline too. He adds that in ‘Satyagraha’, the item song creates the ambience of riches and the bonhomie of corrupt people.
Earlier the wife of actor Sanjay Dutt, Manyata Dutt, did an item song called ‘Alhad mast jawaani’ for Jha’s 2003 released film ‘Gangaajal’. Also, television actor Barkha Bisht performed in an item song titled as ‘Ishq barse hai boondan boondan’ in his 2010 film ‘Raajneeti’.
Natasa, who has previously shot for a few ads in India, is also excited about the number. ‘Satyagraha’ features Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal. The film is slated to hit screens on August 23, 2013.
