In a recent interview, Katrina Kaif spoke about her journey in Bollywood – everything from coming to Mumbai at 17 years old without knowing the language, to finding a space for herself in the industry today. Of course, since Salman Khan is often referred to as Katrina’s “Godfather” in the industry, she was asked how much credit she gives his guidance. Here was her answer.
Katrina said:I can’t speak for other people but at the end of the day, your work has to credit you and it has to take you forward, but personally do I think Salman’s advice has been important? Yes, I think it’s been invaluable. He’s had a very strong basic sense of the working of the film industry, so that’s helpful. But it’s quite similar to Anushka Sharma and all other YRF protégés having Adi (Aditya Chopra) advise them. In my case having Salman and his circle to give me advice was definitely very useful and very important.
